Consumer Complaint: After Snapdeal, Flipkart Cheated Karnataka Man, Gets Empty Box Instead of Pen Drive

Bad experiences with e-commerce are not uncommon: your products are not delivered, sometimes they are lost and sometimes they are delivered to you, but not in one piece.
Recently, Snapdeal delivered one man a soap and a brick instead of the smartphone he ordered. And now it's Flipkart's turn. According to a post on Facebook by Adarsh Anandan, Flipkart sent him empty boxes instead of the pen drive he ordered. Not once, not twice, by three times.
Annoyed with Flipkart, the Mysore resident decided to share the pictures on Facebook.

Weekly Review: Behold Bigg Boss' screwed up sense of morality: Parineeti's 'harassment' vs Puneet's punches

Last week, I was most impressed by Bigg Boss. A male contestant, Ali, stroked the thigh of a female contestant, Sonali, without her consent - and was taken to task for doing so. It was good to see the serial, not known for its high standards of behaviour, to stand up for a woman’s right of choice and consent.

But good things rarely last, especially on Bigg Boss. The very next day, the Bigg Boss creative team came up with a stunt that was ludicrous and offensive on so many levels that I’ve lost count. Parineeti Chopra, who had entered the house to promote her new film Kill/Dil accused the same contestant – Ali -- of touching her inappropriately. Salman Khan, Govinda, Parineeti Chopra, Ali Zafar and Ranveer Singh then read Ali the riot act, berating him as a repeat offender who needed help…. until it was revealed to be a prank a few minutes later.

Special Report: How Cellphones Are Reviving India’s Folk Music Scene?

Spending time in rural India in the past few years, it has been difficult to miss the cellphone, especially in the hands of millennials. It has also been hard to ignore how rapidly the phone has been absorbed in the vernacular social fabric.

According to a Deloitte report, the sales of feature phones and smart phones, used as much for communication as for entertainment, are estimated to have surged by a 100% in the past year across India. In a nation where mobile phones are the primary entertainment device for those who own them, their use is now expanding to preserve and perpetuate traditional folk and tribal music.
