Congress party's national student union of India (NSUI) Goa President Hasiba Amin admitted that shooting for the “kattar soch nahin, yuva josh” ad was the most difficult assignment of her career. Amin said she was initially thrilled to learn that she had been selected as the face of the “yuva josh” campaign. But that joy turned to apprehension when she was told she would have to reel off lines like “Jo liberal ho, open minded ho. Again, no rocket science, woh Congress leaders hain” in all earnestness and then stand next to Rahul Gandhi, staring at the cameras with a very serious expression.
“I double checked to make sure this was not a spoof video,” Amina recalled. Ace lensman Atul Baskarbe who shot the ad said it was the toughest assignment of his career. “Why Hasiba, even I found it very difficult not to laugh during the scenes,” he revealed. It took over 500 takes before they could okay a scene where Amina managed to not burst into giggles and even there the spotboy had to intervene to cut the scene.
Congratulatory messages have been pouring in for Amin from all quarters ever since the “yuva josh” ads debuted. “I’ve even got a few film offers while the Congress high command has identified me as a leader who has what it takes to be part of Rahul baba’s inner circle,” Amin said, chest swelling with pride.
In related news, Ahmed Patel managed to plant a “Sonia is unhappy” article in leading Italian newspapers after they carried news reports of a middle-man targeting the Congress President and her coterie for clinching the VVIP chopper deal. “It was professionally very satisfying to plant in a new medium, that too on foreign soil,” Ahmed told The Unreal Times. “And the best part is madam herself dictated the content this time around.”
