Until National Investigation Agency (NIA) sleuths swooped down on a house in Balapur and nabbed Myanmar national Khalid Mohammed, neither Cyberabad police nor the state intelligence agencies had any clue that a suspect associated with the Burdwan blast was staying at a rented accommodation on the outskirts of the city.

After the twin blasts at Dilsukhnagar in February 2013, Cyberabad police had carried out a door-todoor search to gather information about suspicious elements. “Garbage is supposed to be incinerated at a temperature of 1,100 degree Celsius.But in the open, it is generally burnt at around 300 degree Celsius.

Alleging that the people were bribed and forced to convert to Hinduism, Mayawati said that the government needed to respond to these serious allegations, adding, "It is the responsibility of the party that comes to power to ensure people are allowed to follow their faiths without facing any discrimination. It is the responsibility of the government to ensure that forcible conversions do not take place."

Misled On RSS Conversion, Say Muslim Families In Agra

The 57 Muslim families in Uttar Pradesh's Agra district, who the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) claimed to have 'converted' to Hinduism, have said that they were misled by Dharma Jagran Samanvay Vibhag and Bajrang Dal activists into believing that the event was for BPL cards and not for religious conversion.

"We did not know anything about it. We were forced to convert our religion. We were promised that our IDs will be made. We were just asked to dress properly. The men were asked to wear skull caps," a woman at Madhunagar slum area of the city said.
