Superstar Salman Khan To Play A Baddie Role In 'Dhoom 4' And 'Race 3'!

By NISHI KHAN | INNLIVE

In 25 years of his career, Bollywood star Salman Khan never played a negative role – that baddie and villain whom everybody hates. Even in his films Bhai is loved and adored by all. Interestingly, even though he essayed the role of a criminal in his film, he has always been a good guy – The one who is everybody’s Hero.

However, now it looks like, Salman Khan has been approached by filmmakers to play the role of a villain in their films. Being a big name with several 100 crore films to his credit, everybody wants to have Salman in their film.

The film makers of Dhoom and Race have approached Bhai for the sequels of their film Dhoom 4 and Race 3 respectively. No wonder, Salman signing the film will surely be a profitable deal for both the franchise.

However, the question is – Whether Salman Khan Will Play the Role of a Bad Guy on the Big Screen?

Salman never did a negative role in the past. In fact, in the 90s when the actor was offered a negative role, he politely denied. This role and film was then offered to a newbie in the industry and his life changed forever. Well, yes, we are talking about Baazigar and SRK.

However, now that Salman Khan has no insecurity and has built his own image in the industry, it seems that the SULTAN of Bollywood now wants to experiment with different types of roles. So going by what an industry insider has to reveal – if the role in the films appeal him, Salman Khan will surely take up the role in Ramesh Taurani’s Race 3 and Yash Raj Films’ Dhoom 4.

Here’s what the source had to comment on Salman Khan playing the role of a baddie - “Salman wants to play a cool, stylish villain. He has never played one before. His negative role in Race 3 is almost finalised, but discussions are still on with Aditya Chopra for Dhoom:4. The issue is a financial one where Salman wants a stake in D:4, just like Aamir Khan had inDhoom:3. Salman wants the same profit-sharing ratio that was offered to the D:3 star. Once that is finalised, he’s on.”

Also, a source close to Ramesh Taurani says,“The scripting for Race 3 is still on and no cast is finalised as yet, including the directors.” It remains to be seen who will direct both films. Dhoom:3director Vijay Krishna Acharya is busy with his next — a period-thriller-drama with Hrithik Roshan while Race and Race 2 directors Abbas-Mastan, who turned producers recently, are busy with their next.

Now that we have got the hot scoop that there are chances Salman Khan adorning the look of a baddie, we are definitely excited. Besides, both the film sequels – Race and Dhoom is something that we have been looking forward. We just hope everything works on so that we see Bhai in a villainous avatar especially in Dhoom.

We are damn excited – How about you?
