An angry Abhishek Bachchan took to the microblogging website, Twitter, to clarify his stand.
“Ok…. So I believe I’m getting divorced. Thanks for letting me know! Will you let me know when I’m getting re-married too? Thanks. #muppets (sic)” tweeted Abhishek Bachchan.
Rumours have been on the high over a rift between Abhishek and his wife, Aishwarya. The couple is married since the past seven years. Rumours had further aggravated when Aishwarya left for the French Riviera with daughter Aaradhya and Abhishek was not seen with them at the airport. Abhishek Bachchan was not able to accompany his wife and daughter to Cannes Film Festival as he was busy shooting in Shimla.
However, Abhishek is likelt to cut short on his shooting schedules to accompany Aishwarya Rai for the Indian amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research) gala dinner at the Cannes on May 22.
Such rumours haven’t been taking shape for the first time about the couple, though. Media was abuzz with discussions over the Bachchan Bahu being not very pleased with the arrangements in the Bachchan mansion. While this was so, Aishwarya was keen to move out and live separately with her daughter Aaradhya and husband Abhishek. The reason given was Aishawarya not getting along well with her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan. Abhishek clarified that too and said the news was baseless. He further ridiculed the media as well as the social networking websites for having entertained such rumours!
