Actor-producer Arbaaz Khan is making plans for the third part of Dabangg and it is going to be a prequel. It is learnt that Dabangg 3 will showcase the making of the now popular Chulbul Pandey. According to our source, it’s going to be about Chulbul. “Also, how he ended up becoming Robinhood Pandey,” adds the source.
Arbaaz is currently producing Dolly Ki Doli starring Sonam Kapoor to be directed by debutant director Abhishek Dogra. When contacted, Arbaaz said, “It is too early to discuss on the subject as it is being throughly discussed by Salman Bhai.”
Dabangg (2010) was directed by Abhinav Kashyap. If the first part of Dabangg 2 showcased Chulbul and his romance with Rajjo (Sonakshi Sinha), then its sequel Dabangg 2 was directed by Arbaaz and told the story of Chulbul being transferred.
A trade source said, “There’s not really a big trend on prequels and if Dabangg 3 happens, it will set a trend.”
It may be recalled that Salman had said during the promotion of Dabangg that they had the idea ready for the first part of the franchise about the making of Chulbul Pandey.
