The country is heading towards one of the most crucial phases. The elections are scheduled to take place in 2014 and this will decide who will rule this nation for the next five years. Same is the situation across many states in the nation. But the area of concern is, who will form the government and what form of administration will come. Taking the name of democracy, we have several regional parties which have cropped up.
The monopoly of Congress and BJP has come down to a large extent and the road ahead clearly signifies we will be ending up with a coalition government. This has been the case the last few years and it must be said that the risk and fear of government collapse has always been there. An administration of total coalition parties has always resulted in the regional parties putting their own selfish demands in front or threatening to withdraw support.
So, half of the time is being spent on appeasing the allies. Anyhow the fact remains that a coalition government will come once again. In this scenario we don’t know who will join hands with whom. Many are dreaming Narendra Modi will become the next Prime Minister. But no one knows whether he can materialize that with BJP having the lion’s share of seats. The UPA still has an year to turn the tables.
At a regional level, many parties are unclear on whether they should support BJP or Congress. If there is one party which is the decision maker it might just sleep with another big party and in return, it will demand big favors in terms of money, posts and other perks. All in all, the formation of government will not be with an objective of serving the people or getting them out of their daily life burden. It will be about political prostitution to achieve their desires. We have to wait and see what the nation’s fate will be after 2014 election.
