A 45-Days Event 'Hyderabad Numaish' To Begin From Jan 1

The All-India Industrial Exhibition-2015, popularly known as ‘Numaish’ is all set to begin at the  Exhibition Grounds at Nampally from Thursday. Entry for the exhibition, scheduled to conclude on February 15, has been priced at Rs.20 a ticket on all days.

The 75th All India Industrial Exhibition, 2015 will get underway here from  January 1.  Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will inaugurate the 46-day shopping event, popularly known as ‘Numaish’ along with the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of the Exhibition Society,Telangana Finance Minister and Exhibition Society President Eatala Rajender told.

About 2,500 stalls have been allotted this year including State and Central Government Departments and PSUs besides Corporate and MNCs are participating in the fourth coming exhibition, he said.

The Exhibition Society has developed Exhibition App for the benefit of the visitors to the exhibition and public.  

Information regarding the exhibition will be available on Exhibition App, through which the visitors to the exhibition and public outside using mobile phone will be able to know about the events, stall participating and their locations.

The Chief Minister will unveil the painting of Platinum Jubilee depicting the important events of the society pertaning to the period from 1938 to till date, Rajender said.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday at 5 pm. Nearly 2,500 stalls will be set up on the sprawling 23-acre ground through the 46-day-long exhibition.
Traders from various states will have their stalls. The previous edition had 2,200 participants.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, finance minister and Exhibition Society president Etela Rajender along with vice-president, Gangadhar Rao and honorary secretary P Narotham Reddy, said the society would also be celebrating the Exhibition’s Platinum Jubilee this year. Besides releasing a souvenir, three members - Retired Justice Seetharama Reddy, A Ranga Rao and Laxminarayana and a few traders, who were part of the Exhibition Society for the last 50 years will be felicitated on the occasion, he said.
The minister assured all help from the state government to the society and announced that exhibition land allotted to some state-owned organisations in the past may be taken back to decongest the area and provide ample parking facility for the visitors.
The minister announced that the society will set up a school for orphans in Huzurabad of Karimnagar district and a women’s degree college in Sircilla.
Exhibition Society was striving for women’s education apart from creating awareness on world class industrial products by promoting them at users’ doorstep, the minister added.
The organisers are expecting 23-24 lakh visitors this time as against 21 lakh in the last edition.
Narotham Reddy informed that nearly 150 volunteers have been trained by the police for security duties at the exhibition. Another 75 persons have been trained to keep a watch on the exhibition premises during night time. A dog squad has also been deployed.
He said the society has developed Exhibition App for the benefit of the visitors. Information regarding the exhibition will be available on Exhibition App, through which the visitors using mobile phone will be able to know about the events, stalls and their locations etc.
Gangadhar said the society which runs 18 educational institutions in Hyderabad and across Telangana, earned a profit of `11 crore last time. It spends 85 percent of the earnings on these institutions.
The society has also decided to adopt three government schools in the Old City - two in  Gowlipura and one Moghalpura. The society would provide the required infrastructure for these schools. There will be Ladies Day on January 6 and Children’s day on January 31.
