A report of details revealed during the interrogation of a bookie, known by the name of 'Kitty', alias Uttham Jain, was submitted to the Committee by IPS Officer G Sampath Kumar.

The report alleges that more than half of the matches played during IPL 2013 could have been fixed and Indian Cricket team players MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina knew about the wrongdoings.

IPL 2014 CSK and RR match played on May 12, 2013.

Meiyappan tells Vindoo that CSK will score around 140 runs. Later, CSK scored 141 runs in the match.

‘During the match, Gurunath placed bets of Rs.1.4 crore against CSK and confidently told Vindoo that Royals will win. In a conversation at 21:09 on May 12, 2013, stating that he has already placed bets of Rs. 20 lakh, Gurunath asks Vindoo to place Rs. 30 lakh more on Rajasthan. He says, "RR is winning pakka”,’ the report quoted.

Meiyappan and Aggarwal were approached by a man from Rajastahn at Radisson Blu Hotel, Egmor. The report published reveals that Meiyappan informed Kitty that a discussion is going in regarding fixing the match between CSK and RR, scheduled to take place on May 12, 2013.

A second meeting took place on April 27, 2013 and Vikram Aggarwal informed Kitty that a deal was worked out.

'Later after dinner party Meiyappan has informed that Chennai Super Kings MS Dhoni has agreed to play as per plan and his team will score 140 runs and this was communicated to somebody ( Sanjay) in Jaipur over phone by Vikram Agarwal when Kitty was nearby,' the Mail Today report quoted.

In a separate conversation between Aggarwal and Vindoo- 'Vikram Agarwal told him [ Kitty] that there was negotiation for match- fixing between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings and Meiyappan has to communicate to Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni and few others for finalisation,' the report submitted with Mudgal Committee was quoted.

Other matches also fixed
In another conversation, between the two, Meiyappan gave information to Vindoo about team composition, weather and toss before the CSK-Delhi Daredevils match.

Links traced to D-Company and Australia
G Sampath has alleged that D-Company member Anees Ibrahim (brother of Dawood Ibrahim) was also an active member of the match-fixing club.

Sampath also mentions details about Kitty. In the sealed envelope, submitted to Mudgal Committee, Sampath reveals that Kitty confessed that he started as a small time bookie 12 years ago. During his stint as a bookie he inducted a number of people in the murky business, including a Delhi-based Harish Bajaj. He got close to hotelier and both of them became good friends.

Kitty also alleged that Meiyappan, Vikram and their wives have a good relationship amongst them. He also alleged that almost all the Chennai Super King players are aware of Vikram, through Meiyappan.

The report also reveals that Meiyappan used a different mobile phone during IPL 2013 to contact Vindoo Dara Singh and other connected persons in Rajasthan and Mumbai.
Meiyappan is also said to have strong contacts in Australia. An Australian website is said to be coordinating the cricket betting.

The D-Company connection
Aggarwal had warned Kitty to keep his mouth shut and threatened him by using the name of Anees Ibrahim.

The report states: “ Vikram Agarwal told Kitty not to open his mouth, he also warned that Anees Ibrahim, brother of Dawood Ibrahim, executed one Delhi Inspector and his wife as the Inspector found a link with cricket betting and Anees Ibrahim’s gang. The Delhi Police Inspector Badish Dutt and one Geetha Sharma was killed by Anees Ibrahim gang to silence the inspector [ sic].”

Sampath himself is accused
The report has even shrouded Sampath under the blanket of controversy. The IPD officer is under the scanner for involvement in IPL betting scandal in Chennai. During an investigation, an accused alleged that Sampath had taken Rs. 15 lakh bribe from some bookies on the promise that 'he would get them off the hook'.

Subsequently, Sampath was transferred to the present posting of SP Railways, Tiruchirappalli.
