SHOCKING INCIDENT Architect-turned-politician Satyendra Kumar Jain, Delhi's health minister stunned reporters for his 'callous remark' when asked about reports of the body of a newborn girl who died at Chanan Devi Hospital being dumped at the backyard of the hospital along with biological wastes.
When media persons asked Jain why the hospital authorities dumped the infant's dead body in waste yard he replied that the incident was reported from a private hospital and reporters may ask these questions to the hospital authorities.
Jain told reporters: “The hospital in question is a private hospital hence the state government can not directly intervene in the matter.”
In a shameful instance, the body of a newborn girl who died at Chanan Devi Hospital in Janakpuri was found dumped with biological wastes at the backyard of the hospital. The infant was admitted here on sunday for treatment after which she developed an infection.
As per reports, the baby girl died late last night and then the hospital authorities informed her parents and asked them to complete certain formalities in order to claim her dead body.
Also, during the entire course of the girl's treatment, her family was kept in the dark as to what kind of treatment was been given to the child.
Already unable to come to terms with the child's death, what came as another big shock for the family when they found that her dead body was not kept in the mortuary but dumped in the backyard of the hospital along with biological wastes.
