Focus: Power Scam Of Rs 32,700 Crore In Uttar Pradesh

By Sanjay Yadav / Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh is choking under heap of problems including power supply, unemployment, water supply etc. But when it comes to scams, this state of India surpasses the rest.

There is not a definite way to carry out scams in the administration but they are also not possible without the help and shelter of our ministers, bureaucrats and senior officials. None of the scam in Uttar Pradesh have been small scale.
The electricity department of the state is one of the biggest departments where the stealing of poles, wires and transformers is going on since independence. Senior officials fiddle with electricity rates and take its advantage in minting black money.

Such scams keep on coming in public eye from time to time in which high officials, employees and common people are involved and have cheated the electricity department for years. But the governments' involvement in these money-swindling acts which ruled the state and has been ruling the state, makes it a bigger one.

A similar scam took place in the Uttar Pradesh electricity department in the past one-and-half decade. In this scandal, BJP, BSP and SP governments did a scandal of Rs 32,700 crore in the name of power purchase and energy exchange. These governments not only helped the companies and the officials very cleverly.

This high level scam was revealed by Pardaphash Today in its May edition Power Scam of Rs 32,700 Crore in Uttar Pradesh.
