Political Vendetta: From Silent To Roaring Dialogues: RaGa, Sonia Discovers The Joy Of 'Raw Politics'

By KAJOL SINGH | INNLIVE

In 2014, the Nehru-Gandhi cheque decisively bounced with the electorate. Sonia and Rahul Gandhi had led the party to its most humiliating electoral debacle. With 44 seats, it could not even claim to be Leader of the Opposition. In that media appearance after the rout, the grim Sonia and the strangely smirking Rahul appeared to be at their political nadir.

Contrast this with the mother and son in Parliament on Wednesday. A barb from a BJP MP saw an irate Sonia Gandhi storming with other Congress MPs into the well of the house to protest, while Rahul Gandhi displayed a new-found dramatic flair that would have been inconceivable a year ago.

World Organ Donation Day: I Am An Organ Donor, And You?

By M H AHSSAN | INNLIVE

Life and death are part of the divine plan. Since life is the most sacred gift of God, we need to fulfil the obligation to save the life of our fellow brothers and sisters.Whoever sustains a single person is one who sustains the whole world, and whoever destroys a single person is one who destroys the whole world for every person bears the divine image and every person was created unique and irreplaceable.

In its plan of creation, the physical body is the vehicle of providing life's vital energy for all actions. The body also houses its soul which plants the seed of thoughts, hopes and dreams.Behind all its actions, there is also an active mind which creates thoughts endlessly . Life activity is dependent on the ideal working of the body's organs.

Muslim Women Facing Crisis - Talaq, Khula and Patriarchy

By SHEEMA ALTAF | INNLIVE

Muslim women are in the process of rediscovering themselves through education. It's on account of this that they have begun asserting their identity and independence. But while the debate over subjects like the hijab and the naqab will go on, no other social problem, arguably, continues to subjugate these women other than that of the misuse of the various modes of divorce.

Whether it is talaq a form in which the husband “pronounces“ the divorce or khula, considered a women's right and which needs no consent from the husband, the scenario remains grim. Educated or otherwise, women continue to face harassment by husbands.

By LIKHAVEER | INNLIVE

So you want to be a godman in India? Who can blame you? It’s an excellent career choice, combining unlimited revenue potential with unconditional love. Here are a few useful tips to get you started.

Get a good shampoo
Lustrous hair is crucial. A flowing beard is more or less mandatory. Invest in a good shampoo. Observe some godmen on YouTube. Their hair care is second-to-none. As usual, women will have to work twice as hard and manage with just the hair on their heads. Make sure it flows down your back.

Cricket Buzz: Is Indian Captian 'Virat Kohli' Decision Is Correct On 'Five Bowlers' In The Test Team Strategy?

By RAHUL SHARMA | INNLIVE

India’s new captain thinks it’s the only way to win matches, but are the batsmen good enough?

It’s hard not to hop on Virat Kohli’s bandwagon. In press conferences and interviews, he exhibits the persona of a champion boxer who is building up a head of steam to a pay-per-view title fight. He speaks with a sense of belief that is uniquely persuasive. His train of thought is crystal clear and yet to be tainted by the burden of results.

He is also a gambler who appears to have the blessings of the Indian public to take a punt on match scenarios. Evidence of this was seen after the Adelaide Test last year when Kohli was lauded for his efforts to take the attack to Australia on the final day even though the match was lost in trying to secure an improbable win.

Special Report: Land Pooling Strategy For The New Andhra Capital Could Become A Model For India's Smart Cities

By M H AHSSAN | INNLIVE

Andhra Pradesh's experiment with voluntary land pooling could provide an alternative to forcible land acquisition.

Tallayapalem is a village like many others in Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur district. It has lush green fields, and its prosperity is evident from the concrete houses scattered along its central thoroughfare. Somewhat incongruously, one field off the main road houses a canvas tent under which a small group of policemen has been doing 24-hour duty since June 6, 2015.

Why The Cleanest Capital Tag Doesn't Amuse Bangalore?

The Swachh Bharat Mission has ranked Bangalore as India's "cleanest capital" and Bangaloreans can't decide whether to celebrate or utter a collective blah.

The reason: the city stinks, literally. Indeed, Bangalore has been struggling with a garbage crisis for five years now, and despite the promises of successive governments, it's nowhere near being resolved.

A series of agitations beginning in 2011 to force the state to act hasn't done much good either.

So, when the survey was released by the urban development ministry on 8 August, Bangalore's residents understandably wondered on what basis their city had been chosen the 7th cleanest overall.
