The Curious Case Of Bigg Boss-7 Contestant, Armaan Kohli

By Aditi Mittal / Mumbai

Being a guest at the Bigg Boss House is a major publicity boost for anyone. Now that the show is in it’s seventh season, we are acutely aware that this is a “game” and in case we weren’t, the contestants keep pointing this out. Pratyusha can’t stop reminding us how “mere fans mujhe bacha lenge.” Kamya insists “ye game hai. Khelni padegi” and the others also fiercely spout bad taglines of ’90s’ action movies. But each contestant also has a rich history of achievements that have made them worthy of a spot in the hallowed halls of Bigg Boss Saath-7.

'Telangana Game': Why Jagan, Cong, Naidu All Are Guilty?

By M H Ahssan / INN Live

Success, they say, has many fathers. An unforgivable screw-up resulting in an offspring whose paternity is in doubt will lead to finger-pointing all around. This sums up the all-party political dilemma over the creation of Telangana, announced by the Congress with various ifs and buts on 9 December 2009.

With two regional parties now rejecting paternity – N Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress – and both going on a fast to prove their on-off fidelity to the idea of a united Andhra Pradesh, Congress trouble-maker Digvijaya Singh has been offering his own version of a DNA test to resolve the issue.

New Google, HP New Chromebook-11 For Sale At Rs.17,280

By Sarah Williams / New York

Google is introducing a Rs.17,280 ($279) laptop that runs its Internet-centric Chrome operating system, borrowing many of the high-end features found in models that cost $1,000 or more. Hewlett-Packard Co makes the new HP Chromebook 11. Although its price is in line with most other Chrome OS notebooks, the new model sports many design features found in pricier devices, including the $1,299 Chromebook Pixel.

Unlike Windows and Mac laptops, Chromebooks rely heavily on continuous Internet connections to run Gmail, Google Docs and other online services. Many apps don’t run directly on the device but over the Internet. The devices also have relatively little storage, as documents, photos and other files are supposed to be stored online.

Focus: 'Sardar Ki Pagdi': A New Age Innovation On Turban

By Sardar Kuljeet Singh / INN Live

Young Sikhs in the West have launched creative initiatives to stem the tide of hate crimes against their community. Prejudice, says social psychologist Mahzarin Banaji, is often irrational. The Harvard professor describes the dark corner of the human brain that hides implicit biases as a ‘blindspot’. What else could describe the vicious assaults on Sikhs in the US in recent times? After all, none of the faces behind any of the terror attacks in the US wore turbans or sported beards.

By Arhaan Faraaz / Hyderabad

Citing the Dasara festival and the long struggle launched by them, the striking Seemandhra employees are urging their leaders to end the agitation and allow political parties to carry on the Samaikya movement. This being the sentiment, the leaders of the striking employees are likely to seek a compromise when they meet chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, that there could be a ‘face-saving’ end to the two-month long agitation launched by them.

Exclusive Story: The Politics Behind The Jagan-Naidu Fasts

By Ramesh Reddy / INN Live

INN Live speaks with K Sreenivas Reddy, former Secretary-General of Indian Journalists Union, on Jagan Mohan Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu's fast following the decision on bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and creation of Telangana.

Following cabinet clearance on the formation of Telangana, both Jagan Mohan Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu went on a hunger strike. While Jagan has accused Naidu of being hand in glove with the Congress, Naidu says that it is actually Jagan who has got a secret understanding with the Congress, which is probably why he got out on bail. How do you view these political developments?

By Dr.Subhash Kapila (Guest Writer)

President Mukherjee being interviewed on live TV foreign channel during his recent visit abroad was bluntly forthright on Pakistan’s habitual claim disowning the terrorist activities against India by non-state actors. The President strongly refuted Pakistan’s claims and rebutted that non-state actors were not parachuted from heaven and that they were launched from Pakistan territory.
