The seed of discord between Tanisha and Andy was already sown when the house mates elected Tanisha captain over Andy. In a week's time the seed has turned into a sapling which threatens to cause friction between the two. That Tanisha is a dominating captain is also something that has not gone down too well with the housemates.

The Heir Is On Air - Actor Johny Lever Vs Jamie Janumala
By Mohini Chaudhuri / Mumbai
Comedian Johny Lever tried to keep his daughter Jamie J away from the glare of showbiz, but she was too talented to ignore.
If veteran comic Johny Lever had his way, he would have kept both his children, daughter Jamie Janumala, 25, and son Jesse Janumala, 23, at arm’s length from the vagaries of the entertainment industry. He almost succeeded with Jamie. Till August 2012 she was a marketing executive at the London-based market research agency Visiongain with a passion for music, theatre, dance and, not surprisingly, stand-up comedy.

Op-Ed: Why Jagan’s Release Won’t Benefit Him Politically?
By Usha Revelli / Hyderabad
This is probably the best and biggest news for the YSR Congress in a whole year. For a party that is desperately clutching at straws to keep afloat, the news of the release of its leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, needless to say, evoked celebrations that are unprecedented.
The overjoyed YSR Congress Party (YSRP) workers distributed sweets to everyone in sight, shouting slogans and spilling over into streets. Some were even seen hugging the policemen deployed on security duty at the court.

UPA Rolls Afghan Onion Before Polls To Wipe India's Tears
By Kajol Singh / INN Live
More than 15 million tonnes of onions are consumed in the country per year. An important part of the Indian cuisine, its prices have gone up by more than 500 per cent since 2004. With five Assembly elections in a few months time, it could become a “big headache” for the UPA. Little wonder, the government is showing great alacrity in organising supply of 2,000 tonnes of onions from Afghanistan via Attari border over the next few days, to bring some relief in the prices of the tearjerker vegetable.

By Harmeet Singh / INN Live
Once considered to be among the BJP’s most popular and articulate legislators, Navjot Singh Sidhu, the BJP MP from Amritsar, is increasingly becoming an embarrassment for the party.
The cricketer-turned-politician recently took on the Akali Dal leadership, putting the SAD-BJP alliance in the state at risk while jeopardizing his own position in the party.

Why Chandrababu Naidu Needs Modi To Stay Afloat In AP?
By M H Ahssan / INN Live
The Telugu Desam Party, led by Chandrababu Naidu, might be one of the first allies that Narendra Modi would have won for the BJP after becoming the party’s Prime Ministerial candidate.
Though Naidu has remained steadfastly focused on UPA-bashing and refused to commit to joining the NDA, modalities for a alliance has already been worked out and an announcement will be made soon.

Road Kill: The National Emergency Map On Plain Sight
By Sandip Roy / Kolkata
It’s a daily scene at the busy Gariahat crossing in Kolkata. Traffic is barreling down in all directions. Minibuses make screeching right turns at breakneck speed. The tramline in the middle of the street has been dug up and is a giant crater occupying half the road, marked by corrugated metal walls and little red flags. Taxis and autos dodge buses to try and squeeze by the construction onto a narrow stretch of the road also teeming with pedestrians pushed onto the street because the sidewalk is taken over by hawkers.

'Ram Jethmalani Has 2-Wives, Many Girlfriends': Swamy
By Ankit Pandey / INN Live
Pushing for uniform civil code, BJP's Subramanian Swamy, in the city for a book release, said it was against the natural law to have more than one wife. According to BJP’s Dr Subramanian Swamy, veteran lawyer and former law minister Ram Jethmalani is acting against the law of nature by virtue of having multiple girlfriends.
Swamy, who himself was law minister, said while talking about the necessity of a uniform civil code, “Ram Jethmalani has two wives… He has many girlfriends.”
Asked what his remark was meant to convey, Swamy said, “I wasn’t criticising Jethmalani. He’s open about it. But I stick to the point that having more than one wife is against the natural law.”
