For over an hour, AirAsia’s Tony Fernandes patiently answered a whole gamut of media queries this morning in Delhi, his last stop in the India tour which saw him meeting many government functionaries to speed up clearances to his airline venture.

For weeks now, both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party have been awaiting the Central Bureau of Investigations’ first chargesheet in the Ishrat Jahan murder case with at least as much anxiety as the people who might end up on death row as a consequence. Deaths due to overdose of prescription painkillers have risen sharply in recent years among women a medical report said. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that between 1999 and 2010, the death toll from painkiller overdose increased more than 400 percent among American women, compared to 265 percent in American men.
A total of 48,000 American women died due to painkiller overdose during the period, it said.

A US environmental group said Wednesday that the caramel coloring used in Pepsi still contains a worrisome level of a carcinogen, even after the drink maker said it would change its formula. In March, PepsiCo Inc. and Coca-Cola Co. both said they would adjust their formulas nationally after California passed a law mandating drinks containing a certain level of carcinogens come with a cancer warning label. The changes were made for drinks sold in California when the law passed.

So who is Iulia Vantur? Since, none of us have enough language skills to refer to Romanian TV we’ll have to go by hearsay.
