Is Tollywood ‘Big 4’ Groups Behind Uday Kiran's Suicide?

ANOTHER ANGLE Tollywood is still coming to terms with the death of actor Uday Kiran. But even as tributes are pouring in, underneath the pall of grief, uncomfortable questions are being asked. A section of film buffs and fans, have been saying that a few ‘forces’ in Tollywood are responsible for not only ending Uday Kiran’s career, but also pushing him to the brink. While the police question late actor Uday Kiran's wife Vishitha, and others as part of the probe into his alleged suicide, newer reports suggest another possible angle. 

While Arun Kumar has approached the State Human Rights Commission seeking a probe into Uday’s death, alleging that ‘four big Tollywood camps’ kept Uday out of work, filmmaker Dasari Narayan Rao minced no words as he lay the blame flatly at the door of the ‘big four’. “There are a few who sabotaged Uday’s career and stopped him from getting good projects. As a result, he went into depression. He tried getting back on track, but couldn’t,” said Dasari to the media.

Many voices are being raised over the Telugu actor Uday Kiran's suicide on Sunday. The film fraternity and fans are unable to recover from the shock that a young actor with cute boyish looks could take away his life at the age of 33. Many film personalities alleged that the 'mega stars' was responsible for his death due to the engagement broke off with Megastar Chiranjeevi's elder daughter Sushmita and subsequent circumstances made him depressed and one of the cause for his suicide.

NEWS UPDATE Noted young Telugu film hero Uday Kiran allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his apartment in Srinagar Colony, Hyderabad. Though the exact reason behind his extreme step is yet to be known, the buzz is that the actor ended his life after being depressed over his dull career. Police suspect that family disputes could be the reason behind his suicide.  

Uday Kiran, who got married in Oct. 2012 was alone in his apartment, while his wife went to a birthday party which he was supposed to join. But he did not turn up as promised. After waiting for him his wife tried reaching him over the phone. After repeated attempts to reach him over the phone failed, she rushed home only to find him hanging from the ceiling in their room. According to reports he called his close friends and reportedly clued them about his suicide. Soon after they realised what was coming, they repeatedly called him but in vain.

Latest reports suggest that Uday Kiran's body has been kept at the NIMS mortuary as there are no takers to claim his body. While Uday's father said that he will pay last respects to his son only after his daughter arrives from Kuwait, the actor's father-in-law is unable to take a call on his son-in-law's cremation. This apathy towards the former lover boy of Tollywood who had hatrick hits has everyone shellshocked.

Popular Telugu actor Uday Kiran was found hanging from the ceiling at his apartment at Srinagar Colony, Punjagutta on Sunday night. As per the reports, the Police said that it is suspected that the actor committed suicide although it is not clear yet as to why he took the drastic step.

However, the Southern film fraternity is shocked with the sudden death of Uday who got married in October 24, 2012. As per the reports, Actor Srikanth expressing his shock over Kiran’s death said that the police should ascertain causes that compelled him to resort to the extreme step.
