We're as surprised as you are. When we came across this picture of the comedian, we immediately began to wonder whether Kapil Sharma's reason for being absent from the show was an excuse to instead secretly tie the knot. In the picture, Kapil is seated at what looks like a marriage mandap, in a sherwani and turban, looking all set to get married. He is seen holding a small-sized fan in his hand.
Or, wait a minute, is this a still from the sets of his upcoming film, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon? The actor is making his Bollywood debut with the Abbas-Mustan directorial venture that will hit screens on September 25. The upcoming romantic-comedy also stars Manjari Phadnis, Amrita Puri, Simran Kaur Mundi, Elli Avram and Sai Lokur.
Apart from the leading ladies, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon will also see Arbaaz Khan, Supriya Pathak, Sharat Saxena and Jamie Lever in pivotal roles.
The comedian was earlier slated to debut with YRF's Bank Chor but the actor backed out after some issues with the production house.
What is the truth behind this picture, only time will tell. It could well be a publicity stunt for the film. In the meantime, actors Arshad Warsi and Sajid Khan are hosting the show for the comedian, who had also recently travelled to Canada and the US with the cast of his show for several live shows.
