KCR Blames Nizam’s Rule For Backwardness Of Telangana

By Mohd Bilaal in Hyderabad
Muslim minority is anxious about the difference in claims and actions of the Telangana chief minister KCR in respect of its development. KCR is famous for his political acumen, revolutionary temperament and to respond in his own style to his opponents but the dual stand taken by him in respect of Muslim minority raises doubts about his intentions. He has applauded the Govt. of Nizam on various occasions but is he opposed to Nizam in writing is a question.

It is reported that in the report sent to World Bank, the major cause of backwardness of Telangana region has been associated with Nizam’s period. According to a report published in a vernacular newspaper, poverty in 5 districts of Telangana has been indicated.

The major cause for the backwardness of 10 districts of Telangana has been attributed to Zameendari and Jagirdari system of Nizam’s Govt. According of this report 10% people in Rural areas faced major financial crises. Govt. of Telangana also admits that there have been deaths due to starvation.

A research report pertaining to 1993-94 to 2004-05 indicates that only rich people were benefited. 150 mandals of Telangana district faced acute poverty where there are problems of education, health, personal income, employment etc.

The stand taken by KCR about Nizam’s Govt. is worrying the Muslims since he has made many promises for the development of Muslims.

According to his statement, he has compared the progress made in coastal Andhra district and Rayalaseema region where it is remarkable since there was no Jagirdari System in those areas.

His applause about Nizam’s period was taken as reality but his action in sending the report to World Bank is worrying the Muslim. Muslim Elite and Intellectuals have express their concern about the intentions of KCR since there is a difference in his words and actions.

During the inauguration of All India Industrial Exhibition and Centenary Celebrations of the founder of Jamia Nizamia, KCR paid rich tributes to Nizam but his opposition in the report sent to World Bank exposes his dual character.

It may be noted that KCR promised 12% reservation to Muslims and ensured the progress of Muslim in all the fields but his recent stand is creating doubts about his intentions.
