Watch: These Kids Are Asked What They Know About Religion, Their Answers Are A Lesson For Everyone!

What does religion mean to you? Some Indian children were asked this question.

India is a country where people from multiple religions coexist but it is also one that has seen violent clashes in the name of religion between communities. But the simple philosophy in the answers of these kids, featured in a video 'Kids Speak Out On Religion' by the popular viral content creator BeingIndian, will make you think what we, adults, are doing wrong when tackling contentious religious issues.

The video is a part of a series by BeingIndian in collaboration with filmmaker N Padmakumar, and comprises 5 videos which aim to highlight social issues in India.

While the answers given by these children are unique as well as deeply philosophical, a look at the most interesting ones from the video will give you a lot to think about:

From highlighting basic issues such as like religion, casteism and the existence of God, the video uses the voice of innocent children to send a message.

And the answers given by the young kids to these deeply philosophical questions are really innocent as well as refreshing.

"Kids have perceptions that are fresh and uninhibited, and Padmakumar has been able to beautifully capture them," Sameer Pitalwalla, CEO and co-founder, Culture Machine (BeingIndian), told INNLIVE.

"And Padmakumar has been able to capture the nuances and lend a voice to these stories, told through a generation that is coming of age," Pitalwalla added.
