Thomas Cook India Launches ‘Top-Up Holidays’ Concept

Thomas Cook India has launched a new concept that allows customers to select a series of optional extras and add them on to their travel itinerary.

The new ‘Top-Up Holidays’ concept includes a range of sightseeing tours, transfers, hotel upgrades and other elements that can be selected by the traveller prior to their trip.

Thomas Cook India said the new offering follows its own research which showed that Indian consumers are “value-conscious”. That led to the development of what it calls a “pizza model” holiday, which features a simple base holiday package and a range of optional “toppings”.

“Today’s Indian travellers are not only keen to design their own holidays but are equally focused on maximising value,” said Shibani Phadkar, Thomas Cook India’s senior vice president & head of outbound leisure travel, products & operations.

“Given our significant volumes at Thomas Cook, we are able to negotiate considerable savings for our customers which we’ve inbuilt into our unique Top-Up Holidays. So [there is] a strong dual benefit; one, the flexibility of personalising their holiday by selecting from a host of top up options, and two, great value-for-money pricing.”

The Thomas Cook Top-Up Holidays range covers destinations in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, USA and Australia.
