Aam Aadmi Party & Rakesh Roshan Sign A Deal On 'Krishh-4': Arvind Kejriwal To Star As 'Muffler Man' In The Film

Bollywood ace director Rakesh Roshan and Aam Aadmi Party signs a pact to feature Arvind Kejriwal as 'Muffler Man' in 'Krishh-4' film slated to go on floors during early 2015.

Things are finally looking up for AAP, and no, this is not a quote from Yogendra Yadav. Riding on high on the success of getting #MufflerMan to trend for a week and fueling a spate of memes, the AAP cyber-cell has pulled off another coup by landing Arvind Kejriwal the plum role of Muffler Man in Krrish 4.

“We were very keen to take the Muffler Man campaign to the next level,” an ebullient Dilip Pandey told INNLIVE, “by tying up with a superhero franchise. Initially, it was hard going. Nolan was not responding to our Tweets and neither were the folks behind Avengers. Only Goldie Behl was very keen to induct Kejri sir into the Drona pantheon but the AAP high command was understandably not very keen.”

And then Rakesh Roshan himself called, offering Arvind Kejriwal a significant role in Krrish 4 as Muffler Man, sending AAP headquarters into a tizzy.

Roshan said it was an honour to bring an iconic character like Muffler Man to the big screen and promised not to let down the AAP fan base by making a mess of it. “Muffler Man will remain anchored in the AAP ethos,” Roshan said. “His superpowers will include a whooping dry cough that can send a bad guy crashing into a wall, the ability to sniff out corruption, however petty it may be, and X ray vision to see through corrupt people and expose them.” The last superpower will of course provide Roshan’s scriptwriters the pretext for some lurid comedy.

What about the chief villain? Roshan said that again was pretty obvious: “A business mogul who controls 90% of India’s economy, gets Chief Ministers to horse around to entertain his kids, gets Prime Ministers to RT his wife’s utterances, disconnects power and water supply of someone who annoys him, sends back legislative bills for redrafting if he doesn’t like them. His villainy will make Mogambo and Gabbar seem like Barbie dolls. Duggu’s Krrish will team up with Kejri’s Muffler Man to take on this big daddy of all villains and vanquish him and his agents in a cataclysmic climax,” Roshan revealed about the plot.

But is Arvind Kejriwal comfortable playing a reel life hero in addition to a real life hero? Arvind had initially demurred, saying he was an aam aadmi without any aukaat but made a U-turn after Roshan said the script also has an item number featuring Muffler Man, Krrish, Priyanka Chopra and either Deepika or Katrina or even both, budget permitting.

However, Muffler Man will not have a romantic screen interest. Mrs Kejriwal has drawn the red line on that.
