NO NEWS Comedian Sunil ‘Gutthi’ Grover, who left Comedy Nights with Kapil after a tiff with host Kapil Sharma, is all set to join back the show. His show, Mad In India will go off air from next week due to low TRP. According to industry sources, channel decided to shut Mad In India after host Manish Paul threatened to quit the show.
On hearing this news, Kapil Sharma immediately called up Sunil Grover and asked him to come back on CNWK. After initial hesitation, Sunil agreed to join back as Gutthi.
Gutthi played by Sunil Grover was undoubtedly the most famous character on Comedy Nights with Kapil. However, Sunil demanded a raise in his pay package which was not accepted by the producers, following which, the actor decided to quit the show.
In spite of Sunil Grover walking out of the very popular Comedy Night With Kapil, Kapil holds no grudges against his former associate. TRP of Sunil Grover’s show is 2.4, while Comedy Nights with Kapil has TRP of 8.2.
Sunil Grover’s second journey with CNWK will start next week with Amitabh Bachchan’s episode. A source revealed, Sunil Grover wanted a break after Mad In India, but Kapil insisted Sunil to join immediately.
