LIVE ELECTION SURVEY The process of casting vote may have become rather simple over the years, but the media exposure and availability of information ensures that decision to go with a particular party or a particular candidate remains a difficult question. 

INNLIVE has tried to understand the factors that influence voters’ decision. Since, this requires understanding mental faculties and social surroundings of the voters; we cared to involve psychologists, neurologists and social scientists to make sense of the responses given by our readers.
INNLIVE roped in 4950 readers through SMS and email and sought their responses on many questions. Based on our efforts we can fairly conclude employment, social security and economic well being remain up on the priority list of the voters when it comes to casting the vote. Apart from that possible wave in favour of a party on candidate also influences mind of the voter and presence of supporters during election rallies is a sure way to judge popularity of the candidate.

Voters compare financial and criminal records of the candidates. Economic growth is a major deciding factor.

Out of the 4950 readers interviewed, 67% of the voters got affected by candidates working style. Around 7% readers attached a lot of importance on candidates' art of delivering a speech. Social and economic status of the candidate influences decision of the voters.

For voters their local candidate comes first, then reputation of the PM candidate influences their decision. Local and national issues are important and come second on the priority list.

Voters on promises made by politicians

  • 49% readers believe promises will not be fulfilled
  • 18% believe leaders will take three years to fulfilled the promises
  • 17% readers believe promises made during the election will be fulfilled in five years

What qualities of the candidate influence voters?

  • 67% of the voters give primary importance to the working style of the candidate
  • 18% of the voters get affected from the personality of the candidate
  • 7% of the voters are influenced by Speech and campaigning style
