Will 'Shivlal Yadav' Replace Srinivasan As BCCI President?

By Sameer Shaikh | Mumbai

Former India off-spinner Nandlal Shivlal Yadav to be BCCI chief soon. Histroy could be made in the next couple of days albeit by default when Shivlal Yadav becomes the next president of the Indian cricket board in the wake of the Supreme Court's recommendation that current chief N Srinivasan should step aside for the sake of a thorough probe into the Indian Premier League spot fixing scandal.

“Well, it is a huge honour and also a major challenge for which I am ready,” says Yadav, who is also now the BCCI vice-president and vice-president of Hyderabad Cricket Association, in a informal chat with INNLIVE.
Yadav could be the first Test cricketer in modern times to head the Board. The Hyderabad-based former India off-spinner is tipped for the top job. If he gets the president's post, it will add to the various caps he has adorned like national selector, team manager and at the time of writing BCCI vice-president.

Yadav told the media that he was willing to accept the big post if given an opportunity. The Maharaja of Maharajah of Vizianagram (Vizzy) was the Board chief from 1954-55 to 1955-56.
