'Pav Bhaji' Vendor Eyes For Lok Sabha Seat From Gurgaon

Kusheshwar Bhagat, a pav bhaji vendor is eyeing the Lok sabha seat from Gurgaon. The 43-year-old Bhagat sells Pav bhaji in sector-15 in Gurgaon in NCR area.

It is notable that Bhagat has earlier contested in the Lok Sabha as well as assembly elections in the year 2009 but failed to acquire enough votes from people.

Bhagat is hoping to turn his customers into potential voters for him in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
In his last affidavit filed before the returning officer in 2009, Bhagat had declared total assets worth Rs. 34000. While this year, he has declared assets worth Rs. 1.5 lakh. He owns a Nano car and a motorcycle and his wife holds assets worth Rs. 20000.

Kusheshwar Bhagat hails from Madhubani in Bihar. He learned making pav bhaji in Mumbai and then shifted to Gurgaon along with his wife and 3 kids. he continued selling pav bhaji in the locality.

'If I get support from locals and get the chance to represent them in Lok Sabha, I will fight for quality affordable education for all children. I will put an end to the system of admission fees, which is charged by schools every year', he told INNLIVE.

The pav bhaji vendor decided to contest in the elections when he realized that the education system of the country was in bad shape.

Bhagat, who has studied till class IX, says when he tried to get his children admitted to a good school he said that the fees structure was not affordable for poor families.

Bhagat has been working on local issues to check rampant corruption in government sections for several years now.
