Will TRS Supremo Make A Dalit 'Telangana' Chief Minister?

By M H Ahssan | INNLIVE

SPECULATION The process of carving out Telangana state from Andhra Pradesh is just a step away. And speculations have already began on the aftermath of Telangana formation.

Indubitably the people of this region will have no limits for their joy and celebrations as separate statehood demand for Telangana has been a long cherished dream. However, the question that arises at this crucial juncture is whether the very purpose of achieving a separate state can be achieved?

Development, employment and agrarian problems are the three focused sectors in which Telangana want to see progress. Most of the people expect changes overnight, which in expediency may not be that easy. So, surely there will be immense pressure on the first government that comes into power because of so many expectations from the first government of an independent state.

Since the very beginning, KCR, the TRS Party supremo has been stating that the first ever Chief Minister of Telangana state will be a Dalit. Now, the question is will it happen in actuality? Mostly yes, because after a great victory, hopefully TRS party will not take any chances to get into trouble by violating the word given to people. Besides, they know that the opposition will not let go of a single opportunity to carp the TRS party.

Making a Dalit, the first Chief Minister of Telangana will be a most welcoming move in the history of Telangana. Nevertheless, being the first Chief Minister will not be less than putting on a crown of thorns. Each and everyone is responsible for realizing the dream of Mahatma Gandhiji - “After attaining Swaraj (independence), now it’s time to attain Suraj (good governance)”.
