EXCLUSIVE It is shocking to know, Bigg Boss-7 reality show winner Gauhar Khan prize money not yet paid by Color Channel, according to reliable sources. It's been one and a half months ever since the Bigg Boss Season 7 came to an end. Post a memorable Grand Finale where Gauhar Khan was declared the winner, almost everyone was envying the pretty lady.
After all, she not only took home three months of fame (her popularity multiplied as she became a household name throughout the season), the winners trophy (being handed over to her by Salman Khan) and even a whopping Rs 50 lakhs just by participating in a reality show.
But then, according to Gauhar, she has still not received her prize money. That's what the model-turned -Zangoora-cum-item girl recently revealed in one of her interviews when she was asked to how and where she splurged the amount.
During a conversation with a leading daily, Gauhar was asked as to what gifts she bought for herself (well, we knew she loves to splurge on branded clothes and footwear, et al) and her answer was, "I had gifted myself a watch but that was not from the winning prize. I haven't got my BB7 prize yet and I am still waiting for the money.
Probably, I will get it once I am done with Khatron Ke Khiladi and then I will wind up all the monetary things with the channel." But surprisingly, she neither shouted atop the roof and is nor sounding completely shattered. In fact, she was quoted as saying, "I am hungry for praises and appreciation from the audience and I have noticed a big change in my life post Bigg Boss 7."
But then, according to a report published in a leading daily - during her stay inside the Bigg Boss 7 house, Gauhar tucked in around Rs. 84 lakhs as she was being paid Rs. per week. Then why fuss over Rs. 50 lakhs, no?
Currently, she is busy contesting for another reality show - Khatron Ke Khiladi. In addition to this, she has also been flooded with many offers from a lot of places, so right now, she seems to be happy with the pace of her career.
Gauhar Khan may or may not have any issues with the channel, but with such a delay in the payment of prize money, will this affect the charm of the most famous reality show as well as the reputation of the channel? Only time will tell.
