Crossing the limits imposed by the senior leader of Telangana region and Union minister S. Jaipal Reddy to maintain restraint, Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar made a controversial statement that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy's helicopter will be shot down if he visits Karimnagar to inaugurate Ellamapalli-Sripada Sagar project scheduled on January 5.
Speaking to media persons, the Karimanagar MP said that Kiran should not tour in Telangana for his 'Samaikya' stand and police should make sure that the latter will not travel to Telangana.
His remarks against Kiran came a day after the latter stripped Telangana minister D Sridhar Babu of the legislative affairs portfolio and handed it over to his Seemandhra colleague S Sailajanath.
