In a shocking revelation, actor Boman Irani and his son Danesh Irani's name has come to light in connection with Rs. 425 cr Qnet scam, said sources. According to the sources, a complaint has been filed against Danesh Irani, Boman Irani's son with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police.
While, EOW is making all efforts to search former world Billiards champion and Padma Bhushan Michael Ferreira in connection with the QNet scam. Police suspect that Ferreira to be a stakeholder in Qnet.
The EOW has issued a lookout notice against the 74-year old sports ace for his alleged involvement in the marketing scam. According to the EOW sources, three weeks ago, they had sent summon to his residence, which was followed by a lookout notice, but there was no response from his side.
The notice sent to Ferreira said,"It appears that you are acquainted with facts and circumstances of the case."
The EOW has already registered a case against directors and officers of Vihaan Direct Selling (India) pvt ltd, QNet, Transview Enterprises and Vanmala Hotels & Tourism Services.
Qnet posed as marketing firm which sells bio-discs, watches, herbal products, holiday packages etc and lured investors with schemes involving investment between Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 7 lakh.
