In a bizarre incident, an old man lost his life after he climbed a 400-feet-tall mobile tower in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. The man lost his life after he sat on a six-feet-long iron rod located on the top of the tower.
The rod pierced the 60-year-old man up to three feet inside his body. It is still not clear what prompted the old man to climb atop the mobile tower. The area manager of the mobile company, to which the tower belongs, suggests that the man could have climbed the tower out of curiosity.
The man was discovered, sitting atop the tower, early in the morning by the villagers. The villagers initially mistook him for a dummy. Later, he was identified with the help of binoculars.
According to police, the old man climbed the cell tower in curiosity and by mistake the cell tower antenna rod pierced in to his body and he died after struggling to remove the rod from his lower part of the body. The deceased is yet to identified and investigation is in progress. The old man body was sent for postmortem and preserved in mortuary.
