True to the saying 'empty vessels make more noise', it's only the low rung actors in Bollywood who keep on shouting from rooftop (read 'media') to let people know about their charity works. But when the superstars do their bit of charity, they prefer to remain mum. Like few days earlier, we had reported as to how SRK helped an unemployed light-man to put his 5-year-old daughter back in school.
It's now the turn of Salman Khan, who has played an angel in the life of Vinay Rajput, a background dancer who got hospitalized due to kidney failure. Even though Vinay's name may not ring a bell to the common man, he can be seen grooving to the dance beats alongside Salman in films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Partner, Wanted etc...
Life was all well with the young man Vinay, till the time his diabetic conditionworsened thus leading him to hospitalization. And when Salman got to know about his condition, the angel in him took the forefront and he promised Vinay's family that he will be footing all of Vinay's medical bills hereon. Not many know that Vinay's father Chinu Rajput too is a retired Bollywood dancer, and who is best known as the dancing partner of Helen in the hit number 'Piya Tu Ab To Aaja'.
On the other hand, almost 100 dancers from Salman Khan's home production film Jai Ho donated their one day's pay towards Vinay's hospital bills. Talking about Vinay, choreographer Ahmed Khan said that he was on insulin for many years and that now he is very weak. He also praised him by saying that he was a brave man who preferred to see pain with a smile. Meanwhile, Ravi Kanwar (General Secretary- Cine Dancers Association) said that he was glad that Salman has stepped in at the apt time to save Vinay. And with his help, Vinay got transferred from a smaller hospital to the state-of-the-art to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital.
