Two women in Bhatkal were shocked to find a 3-inch-long baby snake in their half-consumed juice pack. Syed Mohammed Safwan purchased a number of 200-ml tetra packs of Maa mango juice from a local bakery.
His 22-year-old daughter Sahifa drank some of the juice from one of the packs and passed the rest to her 45-year-old mother Umme Salma. Since Salma couldn’t take a sip using the straw, she pulled it out and was shocked to see the head of a small snake emerge from the hole of the pack, stuck to the end of the straw.
The women, who threw up and fainted, were rushed to a nearby hospital. Safwan complained to the bakery owner, who in turn lodged a complaint at the local police station.
