Shah Rukh And Gauri Khan Expecting Their 'Third Child'?

By Niloufer Khan / Mumbai

Shah Rukh Khan is back in news. For more reasons than one. First, the trailer of his upcoming film Chennai Express was released this week. And a couple of days prior to that the star is all set to welcome his third child with wife Gauri.

A close source apparently states it was Gauri Khan's idea to go for the child through surrogacy. B-Town’s best kept secret is now out. With reports of Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan apparently having a third child through surrogacy, a B-Town insider reveals that extremely few were privy to the information which has now been leaked out.
The insider allegedly claims, “The baby is a boy, so Suhana will now have another brother after Aryan. It was entirely Gauri’s decision to go in for surrogacy. SRK and Gauri consulted the same doctor that Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao went to for their baby Azad who, too, was born to a surrogate mother. Apparently Gauri was keen to have a third child. Aryan is 15 while Suhana is 13. Meanwhile quiet preparations are on in Mannat for the new arrival.

Like several stars in the West and in India have done, the report said that Shah Rukh and Gauri had found a surrogate mother for the baby which will arrive in some time. “Meanwhile quiet preparations are on in Mannat for the new arrival.”

Even before the gossip mills could tire of the latest offering from Bollywood, the unconfirmed news put Shah Rukh and Gauri in the eye of what could turn into a big legal storm. The insider allegedly claims, “The baby is a boy, so Suhana will now have another brother after Aryan. It was entirely Gauri’s decision to go in for surrogacy.

Even though the couple has not confirmed the news, a radiologists’ association has sought an immediate probe into the news, pointing out that finding out the sex of a baby before it is born is illegal in India. Therefore, they said, if reports of the baby are indeed true and the sex is already known to SRK and his kin, then the star must be hauled up for pre-natal sex determination. “We have written to the state health department to find out how the actor came to know about the unborn child’s sex when sex determination is illegal in India,” said Dr Jignesh Thakkar, coordinator for the Pre-Conception Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, IRIA.

The email has been sent to all top health department officials including the Maharashtra health minister. State officials are reportedly looking into the matter. However, the report points out that, if news of the baby is true and Shah Rukh Khan has gotten the sex determination test done abroad, then the Indian laws would not be applicable to him.

With Amir Khan’s baby already grabbing attention and Karan Johar announcing he is looking to adopt a child, Shah Rukh Khan’s baby will leave baby watchers in the gossip tabloids busy for a while.

Guess, who must be bothered the most by the surrogacy news though? Rohit Shetty. Shah Rukh Khan’s baby, evidently, has stolen the thunder of his film!
