Motivated by an anti rape T-shirt campaign in Cubbon Park, hundreds of professional rapists announced a change of profession today.
Ranjanna alias Rape Ranjanna, a tenth standard dropout had become a serial rapist in order to prepare his resume for politics. He was traveling to St. Mark’s road on bus number 12 ‘A’ when he spotted several people wearing the anti-rape T-shirt.
“I never knew raping was wrong,” he said, “The slogan on the shirt put me on the right path.”
Several members of AIRA (All India Rapists’ Association) decided to mend their ways to express solidarity towards those who spent 400 rupees buying the shirt. The campaign organizers told Faking News that it had been a highly rewarding experience.
Scientists at IIPM had identified areas in the frontal lobe responsible for uncontrollable sexual urges. “Looking at the specially designed logo can block all synapses in that region, preventing rape before it happens,” scientists insist.
A few cynics, however, expressed doubts about the correlation between prevention of rape and buying a T-shirt. They were told, “When likes on Facebook can feed hungry African kids, buying a T-shirt can prevent rapes.”
Nanjunda, a resident of Jayanagar reported that the birth rate of stray dogs reduced drastically when kids in the neighborhood joined the campaign. Chief Minister of Delhi, Sheila Dikshit said that her daughter would definitely feel safe in Bangalore.
Buoyed by their success, several youth groups announced new projects like “rap battle against corruption”, “Flag march against the hunting of humpbacked whales in the Pacific Ocean” and “Newspaper collection drive to preserve aeroplankton”.
Meanwhile, several Congress party workers in Tamil Nadu bought the T-shirt assuming that the logo showing a hand was asking people to vote for Congress.
