'DABANNG, SINGHAM' ARE MORALE BOOSTER FOR COPS

By Shreya Singh / Lucknow

The Uttar Pradesh police has come under much criticism lately for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state and the government is determined to salvage the situation. It has come up with a unique way to boost morale of cops so that they do their jobs better.

INN reported that the UP ADG, Law and Order, Arun Kumar has issued a five-page circular asking for special screenings of films like Dabangg, Ab Tak Chhappan, Singham and Garv.

All these movies revolve around policemen who in their unique ways do good for the society. Kumar hoped that the movies will inspire policemen to take a leaf out of the heroes’ books and do their duties better.

The UP police circular says that the public expects policemen to do their job with good intention, how they do it is immaterial, reported INN.

The circular comes at a time when the image of the UP police has been tarnished by various cases of insensitivity against the public and riots in several areas of the state.
